Advance produced the following motorcycles:-


2 3/4HP Air Cooled Single Cylinder (360cc)



3HP Air Cooled Single Cylinder (372cc)

In 1907 the 3hp motorcycle was the smallest available. Chater Lea supplied the fittings, and the ingnition was a magneto. The wheels were 26" and had Dunlop 26" x 2" tyres fitted to them, although others could be specified. The front brake operated on the wheel rim and the rear foot brake operated on the drive belt rim. As standard the "Advance Adjustable Pulley" was fitted.



3HP Air Cooled Single Cylinder (Lady's Machine)(372cc)

The 3hp Advance Lady's was fitted with Advance's own carburettor, and the ignition was a Simms magneto. Chater Lea supplied the fittings and the sprung front forks. The wheels were 26" and had Dunlop 26" x 2" tyres fitted to them. The front brake operated on the wheel rim and the rear foot brake operated on the drive belt rim. As standard the "Advance Adjustable Pulley" was fitted, and an option was an epicyclic two speed gearbox.



3 1/2HP Air Cooled Single Cylinder (476cc)

The 3 1/2hp Advance is featured here with rigid front forks, but the 1907 sales brochure lists sprung forks. Chater Lea supplied the fittings. The wheels were 26" and had Dunlop 26" x 2 1/4" tyres fitted to them, although others could be specified. The front brake operated on the wheel rim and the rear foot brake operated on the drive belt rim. As standard the "Advance Adjustable Pulley" was fitted.



6HP Air Cooled Vee Twin Cylinder (744cc)

Advance's flagship motorcycle was the 6hp Vee twin. The frame was a Chater lea No.5 and the ignition was a Simms magneto. Chater Lea supplied the fittings and the sprung front forks. The wheels were 26" and had Dunlop 26" x 2 1/2" tyres fitted to them. Brakes were two foot operated on the drive belt rim. As standard the "Advance Adjustable Pulley" was fitted.

9HP Air Cooled Vee Twin Cylinder (1145cc)

Advance did list a 9hp motorcycle in 1908, this was the specification listed:-
